Hi all! :-)
Welcome to Light and Stars, a small home business based in MO. I made this store as a hobby and way to sell my creative art designs.
But it really started back in 2019 when I created ClipartWish, where I sold my digital designs and drawings as downloadable formats as clipart and digital paper. I loved my store but it was no longer an option for me after 2022- 2023 when AI appeared on the scene. Sales dramatically stopped as I was lost in the flood of AI images that soon appeared on Etsy and I closed up my clipart shop shortly after that.
Fast forward to 2024 - when I got an idea to create my own planner cover! But it soon occurred to me that I could still share my art, but in a planner cover form!
So I started relentless research, and made investments into a professional laminator, high quality laminate pouches, and more! (all from my tiny dining room table! )
I made mistake after mistake, and many more... you guessed it... mistakes lol. Until FINALLY I had a planner cover that I felt was quality enough to share with the world, and it was BEAUTIFUL! :D
So I reopened my store, I changed my name to LightandStars early on, (because clipartwish felt generic to me) and I started uploading my planner covers sometime in March of 2025.
And here we are now! I hand make these planner covers in my home and I mean I do it all! I design the art, print it, cut it, laminate it, hole punch, and ship each planner myself. Each one is beautifully hand crafted and made with passion!
And if you've made it this far, I want to share a bible verse with you,
"God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars." - Genesis 1:16
